Cuban passport
The new Cuban passport lasts 10 years — and the extension no longer exists. What matters today is your expiration date: renewal of an expired or expiring passport, first-time applications, and minors' passports. We guide you every step, with clear pricing and bilingual service.
What changed
Since July 1, 2023 (Decree 91 of 2023), Cuba eliminated the requirement to extend the passport every two years — for all passports, including the old six-year ones. No Cuban passport needs an extension today.
New passports last 10 years (5 years for under-16s). Six-year passports issued before July 2023 are valid until the date printed in the document — the last ones expire in 2029 — and once expired, the procedure is a new passport (the consular fee is set by the consulate).
